Please note: our terms will be available in both French and English as soon as possible.
We tried to make those terms as easy to understand as possible.

When you use any Ansearch products or services, you are agreeing to these latest Terms of Service (“terms”). Violation of these terms may, at our discretion, result in us terminating your account.

We may update these terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will refresh the date at the top of this page, and notify users who requested to be on the policy updates mailing list.

If you are a customer of Ansearch Ltd based at Flat 9, 15 New Mart Square, EH14 1TJ Edinburgh, this agreement will be governed by the laws of Scotland.
If you are a customer of Ansearch SAS, based at 160 rue de la traversière 34980 Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, this agreement will be governed by the laws of France.

Definitions

“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us” or “Ansearch” in any of our policies or terms, refers to Ansearch SAS in France or its affiliate Ansearch Ltd in the United Kingdom.

“Services”, “products” or “Software” refers to our websites, including ansearch.net, astarlogic.com and any product created and maintained by Ansearch, whether delivered within a web browser, a desktop application, mobile application, or another format.

“Customer”, “you” or “your” refers to you or any entity that you represent.

“Account holder” or “account owner” refers to the person that will be our point of contact for important information.

Restriction on use

When you use any of our software, you agree not to:

In addition to the above, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel any account, at any time, without notice.

You can report violations by contacting us with the details about the account and the issue, including URLs or screenshots. We keep your identity confidential.

Payments and change of prices

  1. We offer trials on a case by case basis. In those cases, we explain to you the length and conditions of the trial. After the trial period, you will need to pay to keep using the service. If you do not pay, we will freeze your accounts until you make payment.
  2. Our services are paid upfront at the agreed frequency and via the agreed manner automatically through the software or in writing.
  3. Our services are exclusive of all taxes, levies, duties or similar (“the taxes”). Where required, we will collect those taxes on behalf of the taxing authority and remit those taxes to taxing authorities
  4. Sometimes we change the pricing structure of our software. When we do, we tend to exempt existing customers. However if we change the price for existing customers, we will give you at least 30 days notice and notify you via the email address of the account holder.

Cancellation, refunds and credits

We want satisfied customers, not hostages. We will make it as easy as possible for you to cancel your account.

Our legal responsibility is to account owners, which means we cannot cancel an account at the request of anyone else. If your account owner has changed, or if you no longer know who that person is, please contact us.

If you cancel before the end of your current paid up period, your cancellation will take effect immediately, and you will not be charged again. We do not prorate unused services.

When you cancel your subscription you can continue using the software until the paid period expires. Once your paid period expires your account will be automatically frozen.

We offer refunds and credits on a case by case basis, depending on your usage.
Here are some examples:

Frozen accounts

Your account will be frozen when a payment is missed or you cancelled your subscription and the paid period has expired.

Frozen accounts will have limited access to our software. Once your account is frozen your data will be deleted after 180 days unless you re-subscribe.

Uptime and limited accounts

Your use of the software is at your sole risk. We provide our services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not offer service-level agreement, but we do take uptime of our application seriously. Visit to see the status of our Services.

Due to the price of an artificial intelligence model we may have to limit your account. When this happens you will keep full functionality of our software, however we will change the default model to another model that is more cost efficient. Our software will notify you when you are limited and the limitation will be removed in the next calendar month.

Confidentiality

To use our software you need to connect Ansearch to third party applications and data sources, some of which can contain your proprietary data (the “Proprietary Information” or “your data”).

We understand that the information you hold can be sensitive, this is why by signing up to our service, you are also entering a confidentiality agreement between us and you.

We agree to:

  1. Not divulge to any third party any such Proprietary information.
  2. To give access to such proprietary information solely to those employees with a need to have access for purposes of this agreement.
  3. To take the same or better security precautions to protect against disclosure or unauthorized use of such proprietary information that you take.

Nothing in this agreement will prevent us from disclosing proprietary information if required by law or by any competent authority. We will provide you with a reasonable notice about such disclosure should you want to contest such order.

You and Ansearch agree that the following informations are considered public and can be disclosed to investors or acquirer:

Intellectual property

Except as expressly written, Ansearch will retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the service, including all intellectual property rights therein, and you obtain no ownership rights in the software as a result of your use. You may not duplicate, copy, reuse, reproduce, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the service or our intellectual property without express written permission from Ansearch.

You must request permission to use Ansearch’s logo. Please contact us if you want to use our logo. We reserve the right to rescind any permissions if you violate these terms.

You acknowledge and agree that any questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback, or other information regarding the service provided by you to us shall become our sole property with no compensation or acknowledgement to you. We will remove any personal or confidential information and it will be anonymised as explained in our privacy policy > Communications with Ansearch.

You give us a limited license to use your data in order to provide the service to you, but we claim no ownership rights over those materials. All material you submit or use with our service remains yours. Additionally, you own all the intellectual property from the creation produced as output of our software.

You are responsible for ensuring the material you submit or use with our service is yours or that you have the right to use them. You are responsible for not infringing the intellectual property or any other parties.

Liability & responsibility

Ansearch is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this agreement, where such failure is due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of this party (force majeure). In such circumstances Ansearch shall use all reasonable efforts to mitigate the effect of the circumstance on the performance of its obligations.

You agree that Ansearch is not liable to you or to any third party for damages of any kind that result from the use of the software, in ability to access data, or unauthorized access of your data or account. Ansearch is also not liable for damages of any kind related to actions of any third party that uses the service, or any other consequences related to the terms or services
